  • In-text citations can now be linked to their entries in the bibliography. See the Citavi Manual for additional information.
  • It's now possible to save a local copy of a project that is saved on an SQL server or in Azure SQL.

Changed Features

  • Red highlight knowledge items are now inserted in Word as references only. The text of highlighted passages is no longer inserted.
  • The Citavi for DBServer Manager interface has been simplified.

Resolved Bugs

  • When importing from Reference Manager® Greek letters were not imported correctly.
  • When importing from a file containing tabular data, the path to the cover file could not be selected.
  • When importing multiple PDF files at once, a cover was only created for the first reference imported.
  • When moving authors from a reference, the list of authors was automatically sorted alphabetically.
  • In the "Search and replace" dialog, the option "A = a" did not work correctly.
  • When loading a saved search, the Boolean operators in the drop-down fields of the Advanced search were changed.
  • In the Reference Editor in the group column, the views (All) and (No groups) could be deleted by pressing the Delete button. Doing this caused an error to occur.
  • When copying a reference to another Citavi project, unnecessary spaces were inserted in the Place of publication field if the field contained multiple entries separated by semicolons.
  • In the PDF search the Whole words option did not work.
  • In the PDF search the Case sensitive option did not work.
  • The automatic export of annotations from a PDF file did not function as expected under certain conditions.
  • In Windows 10 the letter descenders (e.g. for the letter "g") were cut off in dropdown menus.
  • Citavi normalized the page numbers in the Page range field in Citavi and in the Word Add-In. Page numbers entered as "003", for example, were automatically changed to "3".
  • A project that was saved on a network drive using File > Save a copy of this project could not be opened directly and displayed an error message.
  • An OpenOffice document that was formatted with Citavi would lose formatting if it was edited.

Word Add-In

  • When Citavi's Word Add-In was started before Citavi, the Add-in ignored settings that had been defined in the InitialSettings.csd file
  • Citavi's Word Add-In did not apply formatting to prefixes as it should have.
  • Citavi's Word Add-In ignored the condition Reference language is English.
  • Citavi's Word Add-In ignored the option Year only if the Show first name if last names are identical for different persons code had been added to an author component.
  • Citavi's Word Add-In did not correctly display page ranges of knowledge items that had the Other page range type.
  • If a reference was inserted with the Do not add to bibliography option, the option had to be selected each time the reference was inserted again.
  • Inserting knowledge items caused list formatting to revert to the Normal style.

Citavi for DBServer

  • In DBServer Manager the connection to the database failed if the SQL Server separated the database into multiple files.
  • Settings were not saved across sessions.
  • Renaming a database under MS SQL Server Express 2008 and 2012 caused an error to occur.
  • When renaming a project, a Windows user was added as a DB user if his or her permissions were inherited from an Active Directory group.
  • User names containing an underscore were displayed without the underscore on the Manage licenses tab.
  • The creation of new Citavi databases in SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008 R2 did not work in DBServer Manager.
  • Importing a local project caused an error to occur.
  • When creating or deleting a DBServer project a Windows user was added as a DB user if the user's permissions were inherited from a Windows group.
