When you right-click in Firefox, the Picker commands do not appear in the shortcut menu.

Possible causes

  1. You installed Firefox version 43 or later and are still using an older, unverified version of the Pickter
  2. Firefox disabled the Picker
  3. You chose not to install the Firefox Picker when installing Citavi
  4. You are using Firefox Portable (the USB flash drive version).

Solution 1: Install the Current Version of Citavi

If in the Firefox Add-ons Manager you see the message "Citavi Picker could not be verified for use in Firefox", please download and install the current version of Citavi. The Picker for Firefox is verified in Citavi 5.2 or later:
If you still are working with Citavi 2, 3, or 4, install the upgrade to Citavi 5 (see our manual for more information). If you are using a site license, the upgrade is free. If you purchased Citavi 3 or Citavi 4, you can purchase Citavi with a discount. Click here to request your coupon.

Solution 2: Enable the Picker

In Firefox, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A). If the Citavi Picker is disabled, click Enable:

Solution 3: Install the Picker

Click Control Panel > Uninstall a Program > Citavi [version number] > Change > Modify. In the dropdown menu next to Picker for Internet Explorer, select This feature will be installed on local hard drive and continue the installation.

Solution 4: Install the Picker from the Firefox App Store

Start Firefox Portable and open the page for the Citavi Picker in the Firefox Add-Ons store. Click Add to Firefox.
