[#11041] Differences between Citavi Free, Citavi for Windows, and Citavi for DBServer

When you install Citavi, you first will be working with Citavi Free. With Citavi Free you can create projects with up to 100 references. For projects with more than 100 references you are limited to read-only permission. Citavi Free is available at no cost and is ideal for testing out Citavi's functions on smaller projects.

Citavi for Windows is intended for users who need to read and modify projects of any size, either alone or in a small group.

Citavi for DBServer is intended for larger teams. Projects are saved in a Microsoft SQL Server (Express) database on your Intranet. Access is controlled centrally using the DBServer Manager and the Active Directory Service for your domains.

You can purchase a license for Citavi for Windows or Citavi for DBServer.
